RJLP Consulting is Rita Locke Pettine, a digital services and information technology expert specializing in higher education and small business solutions. She has three core areas of expertise: the Ellucian Banner student information system, small business administration and digital tools, and augmented reality displays. Her process is defined by clear milestones and timelines, responsiveness to client requests, and early identification of required resources. She has worked with: Barstow Community College, Purdue University - Northwest, Rio Hondo Community College, State University of New York Corning Comunity College, State University of New York Empire State College, University of California – Davis, University of Pennsylvania, and the University System of Georgia.

Past projects include:

• Spearheaded the development and deployment of two customized Banner Self-Service Registration features, one for the State University of New York Empire State College and the other for the University System of Georgia.

• Optimized the registration experience for ~70% of the student population, who were previously unable to register for classes due to expired CAPP prerequisites being applied.

• Designed an online admission application that eliminated the manual admission process for high school students.

• Presented a proof-of-concept for the University of California – Davis, outlining the return of a heavily customized Banner 8 student application back to a baseline Banner 9 system; maintained the institution’s registration workflow and processes while negating potential costs.

Rita has more than a decade of experience working with highly qualified cross-functional teams to develop large-scale solutions for institutional clients, often through multi-party collaboration and partnerships. Her experience includes six years as CIO of the Locke Management Group, and five more as a Board member for the Bergen Swamp Preservation Society. She holds Master’s degrees in Human-Computer Interaction and Professional Studies, both from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
